Richard, Sr. Angell

DEATH OF GRANDPA ANGELL Mr. Richard Angell, Sr., commonly called Grandpa Angell, of near Ben Arnold, died at the residence of his son, Mr. Charles Angell, last Friday night at about 12 oclock. Mr. Angell would have been 90 years of age his next birthday, June 24th, 1906. Mr. Angell was born in Pennsylvania, near Pittsburg, in 1816, and had lived in this county for many years. He leaves several sons and many relatives who are well known in this county. The remains were laid to rest last Saturday in North Elm Cemetery, and although the day was bad and disagreeable, there was a large concourse of friends and relatives who went to pay their last sad respects to the one who was dear to them all. The services were very impressive and touching. Grandpa Angell was indeed a grand and venerable old gentleman, loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. May God in his loving mercy soothe the relatives in this their sad bereavement. The Cameron Herald, 22 Feb 1906 The friends and relatives of Grandpa Angell wish to thank the community for their many favors and kindness shown during his illness, and for their respect for one so dear to them shown by the large attendance at the funeral on a day so very bad and threatening. The Cameron Herald, 22 Feb 1906
